Dr Enjarn Lin MBBS(Hons) BMedSci(Hons) FANZCA PTEeXAM ASCeXAM
Dr Enjarn Lin is a senior specialist anaesthetist at the Alfred Hospital in Melbourne. Enjarn specialises in cardio-thoracic (heart and lung) anaesthesia, anaesthesia for patients requiring heart or lung transplantation, and is credentialed in echocardiography.
Dr Enjarn Lin is a graduate of Monash University, graduating with Honours in Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery (MBBS) and Bachelor of Medical Science (BMedSci) in 1997. His commitment to the Alfred began with his internship and residency before commencing his specialist anaesthesia training at the Alfred Hospital. Enjarn completed his anaesthesia training at Papworth Hospital in Cambridge, in the United Kingdom, gaining his Fellowship of the Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists (FANZCA) in 2007. Returning home in 2007, he was appointed staff anaesthetist at the Alfred Hospital in 2007 where he has continued to provide specialist anaesthetic services for a range of surgical specialities, developing his experience in the care of complex and often unstable patients to ensure the best possible outcome for patients and their families. |
Enjarn is credentialed in both transthoracic and transoesophageal echocardiography through the National Board of Echocardiography (USA) and is an advocate of using echocardiography to help diagnose and monitor for intra-operative complications to improve patient care. He is a Monash University lecturer and unit co-ordinator for the Masters of Perioperative Medicine course. His academic role gives him the opportunity to teach evidence-based perioperative medicine to post-graduate doctors and participate in clinical research. In addition to his teaching, Enjarn remains up to date with the latest clinical evidence through his participation in the ANZCA Continuing Professional Development program.
Enjarn also works in private practice, providing in-hours and out-of-hours anaesthetic services predominately at Cabrini, Epworth, Waverley and St Vincent’s Private Hospitals’ in Melbourne.
